In deze Thema uitzending aandacht voor klassieke, eigentijdse werken voor dwarsfluit, gespeeld door virtuoze Amerikaanse meesters als Robert Dick en Petr Kotik. Met speciale aandacht voor de ‘Mount Everest’ onder de solo stukken voor dwarsfluit: het monumentale ‘Three Weeks in Cincinnati in December’ van de recent overleden Amerikaanse componist William Hellermann.
