De Britse pianist Elliot Galvin gooit hoge ogen met de groep Dinosaur. Met zijn eigen trio bracht hij dit jaar The Influential Machine uit: ‘visionary stuff’, zo omschreef de Evening Standard het album. Wat heet, moeiteloos creëert Galvin met bassist Tom McCredie en drummer Corrie Dick een eigen muzikale identiteit waarbij ze zich laten beïnvloeden door de meest uiteenlopende inspiratiebronnen.
