In Memoriam John Russell

Donderdag 28 januari om 23:00 uur een In Memoriam in Portamento, vanwege het overlijden van John Russell op 19 januari 2021.

De Engelse gitarist John Russell (1954 – 2021) speelde een sleutelrol in de free-jazz en de geïmproviseerde muziek van de zeventiger jaren.

“John had a place at the heart of the world scene for improvised music”, schrijft Evan Parker op de website van Jazz News.
