Koninklijke begrafenismuziek

Op donderdagavond 15 september staan twee programma's in het teken van het overlijden en de aanstaande bijzetting van Queen Elizabeth II: Early Delights om 20.00 uur en Missa etc. om 22.00 uur.

Op maandag 19 september 2022 vindt de begrafenis en bijzetting plaats van de onlangs overleden Queen Elizabeth II.

In Early Delights draaien we muziek die passend is voor deze historische en grootse gelegenheid, zoals anthems van Henry Purcell, delen uit missen van Cristóbal de Morales en Thomas Tallis, en consortsongs ter ere van Queen Elizabeth I.

In Missa etc. is de gehele reconstructie te horen van ‘English Royal Funeral Music’ van o.a. Henry Purcell en Thomas Morley door Vox Luminis o.l.v. Lionel Meunier.
