Meester koraspeler Jalli Lamin Kuyateh te gast in Acoustic Roots

Vrijdag 20 maart van 21:00 - 22:00 uur kunt u luisteren naar meester koraspeler Jalli Lamin Kuyateh en zijn ensemble.

De opname is gemaakt in de Pieternel in de Pieterskerk te Utrecht

Jalli is van Gambia en hij zingt traditionele liederen, daarnaast schrijft en componeert hij ook zijn eigen songs, die gaan over meer recente geschiedenis, sociale problemen, politiek, het leven, de liefde, oorlog en vrede, speciale mensen en alles wat verder nog voor hem belangrijk is.

Het ensemble bestaat uit:

Jalli Lamin Kuyateh kora, bolombatu en zang (componist, tekstschrijver)

Moussé Pathé Mbaye, percussie

Ibu Sylla balafoon, djembé
