The Echo of Being met Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest tijdens Mahler Festival Online

Op zondag 17 mei wordt Symphonic Cinema’s The Echo of Being vertoond tijdens het Mahler Festival Online. De film, gebaseerd op biografische elementen uit het leven van Gustav Mahler, zijn vrouw Alma en hun dochtertje Maria, reflecteert op het leven, de dood en alles wat daarna komt. Cineast Lucas van Woerkum vervlecht de beelden met delen uit Mahlers Tweede, Vierde en uit de dramatische Negende symfonie. Speciaal voor deze gelegenheid heeft het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest geluidsopnames beschikbaar gesteld die het orkest maakte met Iván Fischer, Mariss Jansons en Bernard Haitink. De cast van The Echo of Being bestaat uit Hollywood-acteurs Greg Wise en Amira Casar en de Nederlandse Dominique van Ginkel.

De videostream begint zondag 17 mei om 16.00 uur en is gratis te volgen op de Facebook-pagina en YouTube-kanalen van Het Concertgebouw.
